Transformation MSDS

This MSDS contains information about Ampicillin, used on bacterial plates in this lab at 100mg/mL. 

This MSDS contains information on Calcium chloride dihydride, used at a concentration of 50mM CaCl2 in this lab. 

This MSDS is for Cell lysis buffer, used as part of the DNA preparation  process. Cell lysis buffer is not included in the kit. For specific amounts and use within this lab, please request the SOP from Heather Gastil (hgastil@ucsd.edu). 

This MSDS is for the E. coli strain used in this lab: NEB Turbo cells. 

This MSDS is for EDTA (used at a concentration of 0.5M and pH 8 in this lab) as part of the TE Buffer and Elution Buffer.

This MSDS is for equilibration buffer, used as part of the bacterial preparation process for this lab. This solution is not included as part of the kit. This MSDS is for TE Buffer, composed of 1M Tris (pH 8), 0.5M EDTA (pH 8), and water.

This MSDS is for Tris base, which, when mixed with water, is used at 1M for this lab.
