The San Diego Science Festival is a collaboration of more than 125 leading science organizations including the San Diego Science Alliance, CONNECT, BIOCOM, N.D.I.A., and other key local organizations and media partners - and is organized by community members and the University of California, San Diego.

The mission of the Festival is to draw on the strengths of San Diego’s corporate and organizational diversity across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) industries in order to advance the local and National economy by building a pipeline of future scientists.

ScienceBridge's partnership role is to ensure that the goals of the Festival are practiced throughout the year through teacher education, student programs and community outreach.

Planning for the 2011 San Diego Science Festival is already underway. We welcome the community's input and involvement to build on each year's success.

Opportunities include organizing science events, from guest speakers, to poster sessions, to open houses, to hands-on activities, to any kind of science related event you can imagine.

Other opportunities include organizing, coordinating and supporting the weekend expo, where thousands of people from across San Diego will come together at PETCO Park to celebrate science.
