Granger Junior High will have students learn about satellite technology. They will learn, discuss, research and debate the science and the ethical implications of GPS technology. We will culminate with a booth at the San Diego Science Festival in Balboa Park. This booth will include a video explaining satellite technology, a real world search for a missing student that compares traditional methods with GPS technology and a demonstration of viewing muons (parts of cosmic rays) using a cloud chamber constructed by students.
