Microlife and Climate Change

We are working with microorganisms to show students that climate change affects them locally too! Mira Mesa High school students work with a deep marine core to look at climate change off the California coast with graduate student Johnnie Lyman.

Worms in the Classroom

Graduate Fellow Lindsay Lewellyn & Teacher Partner Darci Kimball

We have been using the microscopic nematode, C. elegans, in the classroom to discuss transcription, translation, mutation, behavior and neurobiology. Students in Darci Kimball's Castle Park High School have really been enjoying their work with this fun organism!
