Socrates Project: Bioinformatics of cancer

Darci Kimball is primarily a Biology and Chemistry teacher at Castle Park High School whose ideologies were shaped by a Midwestern upbringing and whose teaching pedagogy developed through intensive professional development offered by several different colleges and universities post-Bachelor's degree.

Although her teaching practices continue to evolve to suit student needs, her efforts have resulted in her appointment as Biology resource teacher at Castle Park High School and as the sole Medical Chemistry Curriculum Specialist for the Regional Allied Health and Science Initiative whose job it is to support teacher instruction, initiate collaborative efforts, and facilitate sound teaching practices. One of Darci's biggest accomplishments is the earning of her National Board Certification after 6 months of intense self-reflection, evidence collection of effective teaching and educational pedagogy analysis.

When not basking in the light of a computer, Darci keeps busy by reading and by spending time outdoors doing yard work or hiking, mountain biking, and running in the company of her two laboradors and her spouse.
