Socrates Project: Drug discovery: synthesis of wintergreen from aspirin

Jewyl Clarke currently teaches Medical Chemistry, General Chemistry and Biology at Eastlake High School. After spending a few years doing field research with the endangered Least Tern population during college, Jewyl went on to work at SeaWorld, then taught in a Project Based learning environment for a few years before moving on to teach at Eastlake High.

 

When outside of the classroom, she has been known as Gamma Rae on the roller derby track (until a broken ankle brought her down), and can bake a pretty amazing cake.
